Additional Information about
SSGA is available.
We continue to offer play at over 300 of the finest courses
in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida, including golf hot spots in the
Sandhills, on the coast and in the mountains.
All you pay is a designated fee. Participating courses
charge varying fees. You should request the fee and identify yourself as an SSGA member
when making your tee time.
Who can Join?
- Anyone can join that is over 50 years old
- You must be ready and willing to have fun!
Official SSGA Rules
- There will be a 10-day waiting period before your
application for SSGA book is processed.
- SSGA books cannot be transferred from one person to another,
including spouses
- You must present your SSGA book at a club (with the correct
play previously unused) to get your SSGA rate. You may also be required to show other
identification. It is your responsibility to make certain the club staff marks off the
correct play in your SSGA book each time you use it.
- Each course retains the right to restrict the use of the
SSGA membership book, and these restrictions are subject to change anytime during
the year.
- For these reasons, SSGA members are required to call
ahead to request their tee times at least 24 hours in advance unless specified otherwise
by a course.
- You must identify yourself as a Sandhills Senior
(especially in SC, where clubs can easily confuse SSGA with SCGA) and ask what the club's
fee is for Sandhills Seniors. Remember that courses have the right to change different
fees in different situations and to change their stated fees. (Stated fees also may
or may not include tax.)
- Also ask if the club has other rules you need to know prior
to your arrival, such as a dress code or prohibition of personal coolers. (note: Golf
Link provides course information on all courses listed by it on the World Wide Web, Of
course, you should always check with the course itself for the latest information.)
- Sticking to rule #4 keeps you and the clubs from being
caught in embarrassing situations and ensures the continuation of privileges for you and
fellow SSGA members.
- All SSGA tournaments and trips are open to SSGA members and
their guests except the annual SSGA Championship, which is open only to members.
- The SSGA reserves the right to refuse to renew a book for a
member who has violated these rules.
- A course may refuse to honor an SSGA book anytime.
- There will be a $10 charge for replacing a lost book.
